New Holland was just a backup combine . It was quite the site. I had my combine in the record harvest and it was unreal having 200 combines on same field.
I am combine #29 on the north row. That would be from the highway side. I am the combine on the left in low aireal photo 2 with the guys sitting on top of the cab. The nice red combine.
Um, well, those are pickup headers. They are only about 1/2 as wide as a direct cut header.
The crop has already been cut and put into a narrow "windrow".
In a event like this it would not be practical or safe to direct cut the crop, by "windrowing" ahead of time, far more room is provided. Sure hope I'm not being hornsoggled here.
