Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone else has been having trouble with (or are sick and tired of ! ) the excessive bouncing from their machine?
Running a new (2016) 7240 and just can't seem to get it to ride nicely. Started with the recommended tyre pressures and have played with them, both up and down, with little difference.
Obviously running in no-till and minimum till fields means that the ride will be rough, especially when it's been dry in the lead up to harvest, but I have had similar issues both wet spongy conditions and in the dry.
Seems to start at around 7-7.5km/hr and from then on just grit the teeth and hang on.
Running Macdon D65 @ 40ft and once it is down cutting and the weight comes off the front of the machine and the bouncing starts, well you can imagine what it does for the AHHC !
We also run a 7230 (2013) and it suffers from the bounce a little, but not too bad really. Both machines operating in the same field the 7230 was miles smoother. There has been a rear tyre size change between these two machines (at factory level) but I would have thought a pressure change would resolve the issue regardless of tyre size?
Interested for thoughts, opinions and experiences. Certainly sick of seeing the horizon pitching past the end of my unloading auger in the rear view mirror!!
