Our '92 9500 already had the same thing when we bought it. The previous owner had to fit a new cornerpost monitor I believe, and the hours started counting again from zero. We just have to remember to add on 250 hours (or so we were told) to what it says.

If you have a well documented service history, it shouldn't be too hard to back up your estimation of the hours when it comes time to sell.

I didn't know that it was possible to reprogram the hour numbers - I guess that's a well guarded JD tech secret? Obvously our local tech's don't know it either!
