I just did an engine swap on my 2007 5.4L F150, with only 175K. Bottom line is oil pressure. Mine was down to 15psi hot, in D, with foot on the brake. The tensioner kit and high flow oil pump may resurrect your engine but mine had too much wear and was beyond risking a $3500 job that "hopefully" fixed the problem. Went with a rebuilt with high flow oil pump. Now it's at 60psi.

Yea, I googled it.
Rear of oil filter housing.
Ford updated their specs.... tells you something.
Engine at operating temp, at idle, in gear, vehicle stopped
Old spec 25 psi min.
New spec 15 psi min.

I guess they were changing too much stuff on warranty... the solution.. make the spec lower! Lol.

The video I watched was a Ford tech, he said he has seen the tensioners working correctly as low as 12 psi.

Just throwing it out there.
I think my engine would have been salvageable if I had done the tensioners and pump a couple years ago. However my original engine has only 175k now, so 2 years ago with only 125k, I really had no thought that those tensioners could be bottomed out already.
Just for comparison, my brother has a 2006 Ford F150 with the 5.4L and over 300k on it. Has never touched the tensioners, just plugs/coils a couple times. (not an easy job either).
