Leaving some of the shields off a 575r. Anybody

Any of y'all ever just leave some shield off your lexion.
Not all of them just certain ones so it's easier to grease and blow off.
You know they heavier than most and some times a little akward to put back on.
It's not that big of a deal. Just wandering. I too them off the other day for service and just thought what would it be like to leave them off.

It's on a 575r

same here. First two years left them all on and then last yr the one that slides on was left off and makes for cleaner combine, easier to grease, and the cart driver can see if anything looks suspicious .

It was recommended to me this winter by a lexion mechanic to take the shields off especially the front ones. They said it would stay cleaner. I will be doing that to my 590r this year.

I take all the grey shields off my 570, mark them so I know where to put them back on when sold. Easier to clean, easier to spot problems. easier to get in to adjust/grease. I leave the ones on the feeder house.
You are only close to a combine running if there is a problem. So you would be taking a shield off to inspect it anyways running, just leave them off.
