We had a 1976 1155, it was a good tractor at the time but like the others have said the V-8 engine won't take lugging down and with the multipower transmission you have one shift down before you have to clutch and you usually will have to shift down. It really was a tough tractor, not the quietest for sure, it did start hard, lots of cranking if it got cold so we always plugged it in if it got cold out. We traded it off a few years back, i don't miss it but it was a good tractor, just have any equipment you pull with it a little undersized and you should be fine. I wouldn't touch it without AC and you will need at least 2 remotes if you going to be doing field work with it, dealer seems high with no AC and no duals, look for something else or get the dealer to do better, really think about no AC and only one hydraulic outlet before you buy it.
