in Europe I believe only the V8 was offered due to the large amount of straw that goes through our combines
Many of the dealers would open these V8`s up they were supposed to give about 220 HP when this was done. I never saw one of these combines wreck an engine as long as the radiators were kept clean so they kept cool. They did smoke well though. I remember pumping over a hundred gallons of fuel through a day when we were chopping straw , and this is imperial gallons none of your short American gallons
I am told that this engoien was used in power boat racing opened up to give 450 HP
