i dont have any but a friend of mine had this happen and he just drained the water out of the gearbox

 

I would be suprised in it would make it through the slough before getting stuck. Ours never made it and we had to build a road way through it. Never submerged the gear box so I can't tell you if it can handle it but I don't think I would take the chance.

 

The gearboxes are sealed and I've seen them submerged in water over winter and just push the button and go. I'm really surprised the motors don't give more troubles though, they have drain holes and the junction box wiring is just done up with twist connectors but I have to say they don't seem to give any more problems than motors that never get submerged.

 

Last year we had some shallow sloughs and mud bogs and I found that we were able to pass through a limited number of times. This year some of the sloughs will be much deeper. One in particular covers only a couple of acres, however, it will prevent me from irrigating about 30 acres. My guts tell me I am asking for trouble if I try to pass through these areas, but if it was possible it would certainly help the bottom line.

 

you can put two tires on each end or we use the big tall 38" tires will walk right through and most drive systems are sealed real well. FT

 

I've used 2-4 old salvage challenger belts (cut) and laid down flat in a narrow line thru a pivot tower track in small wet sloughs..( a magic carpet)...have one pivot with several towers with the articulated 4 wheel drive option ( Valley ) that has saved many hours of getting unstuck hassles
