Our local CPS dealer has just started bringing in a new fertilizer to compete with MESZ. It's called 40 Rock from Simplot, and it's analysis is very similar to MESZ. It's 12-40-0, with 6.5% sulfur, and 1% zinc (compared to MESZ with 10% sulfur and 1% zinc).
We've been pretty happy with MESZ lately, though we have to go a lot farther to get it. If 40 Rock works just as well and is competitive, we certainly will try some.
Anyone had any experience with this 40 rock phosphate fertilizer?
Or any opinions in general about the efficacy of either MESZ or 40 Rock and regular 11-52 MAP?
