Sat in one of the new combines at husker harvest days yesterday. Nice that they finally but a big unloading auger on them but you still can’t see it if your head is back against the head rest. Don since your the only person to say you have one is that the way they are , or was this one not swung all the way out?

Don is being awful quiet. I think he parked the lexion and has been running a Fendt Ideal he got a good deal on. Wanted that automatic header hookup!
Outdoor Farm Show in Woodstock Ontario had both an Ideal 8T and a Lexion 8600 on display. First time I've seen both and wasn't really overly impressed at the Ideal. The design and build look quite complex to me. The Lexion looked more refined and quality/robustness of the build appeared better than the Ideal. Time will tell on the long term product quality of the Ideal but if I was in the market for that size/cost of combine I'd be all over that Lexion. (coming from a Gleaner/Fendt guy).
Ive seen others that look like they go ahead further than mine, the show unit though must have not been fully extended.
The bigger not as obvious things are the auto auger empty and 1/2 speed top up.
I can't comprehend or understand that Dynamic Power or whatever they are referring to. So they are saying this new setup has a governor...don't they all? There is no variable speed drive is there, where engine rpm can vary, yet maintain speed on the drives is there?
Would that be similar to what I had in our old Freightliner maybe? M11+ Celect. Was rated for 370 horse but would increase to 410 when needed. I imagine the computer would increase fuel available and make a few other changes to increase power without increasing engine speed.
I Remember visiting with Jeff gray of Claas in 2013 after my first season with a 2011 760tt. I explained that something was wrong when I would try to unload while at full load it would go to 102 percent,then start to loose rpm. I said my Deere 9860 gained power while unloading ,and Jeff sheepishly said we don’t have that.
Guess it doesn't matter how they decide to market it, as long as it is an efficient running machine. That is the $important$ part.
Power bulge when engaging unloading auger on Deere (think it was 35HP) was one thing I really missed when going to Lexion. Was told Cat either didn't have capability or would not do a power bulge, which I never understood. MAN engines do have capability. Would be a nice feature to have.
Deere's large diameter auger really took the power to start when full of wet corn. Wonder if the same is true of the new Claas auger when full. I can see that the ability to clean out auger would extend the life of the unloading system
