Check on the rear axle, where the pivot tube is welded into the axle beam, this area is a little thin on the top and bottom, and likes to split there. Also will want to check for cracks in the rotor cage. Definitely want to check the front axle tube, and if that breaks, it will not be good, as the halves go up into the rotor itself.

There is a big difference between the 1440, and the 1460. The 1460, has a heavier frame, larger final drives, and a heavier transmission. The 1460, was not prone to the frame problems the 1440 had.
