I see the most important bottle neck on the s690 was not looked at.... THey need a total revamp of their rethrasher Design...In tought crop conditions combine capacity is limited to rethrasher volume

They also could see help in hard thrashing small grains... Three percent Unthrashed is not acceptable for today's combines

My two cents
Learn to set it and you will be fine!

Okay sure, we must of all overlooked something so easy to set....:(

Fj.... We only have six months till spring, don't let this crap get to you, you love Deere, nothing wrong with that:cool:
Buzzard, There is no trouble with tailings overload when its set correct and all updates installed for it to be up to a late 2013 machine. Of course the Front Chaffer Extension needs to be removed for small grains but I am sure you know that with you being so smart. When all this is done CORRECTLY there is no tailings issue, at all. Proved many many times over this harvest in Wet, heavy Alberta harvesting this fall.

I was in the field with your dear red darlings the last few days and they have had many issues to say the least. The most glaring was 14 bu/acre loss in barley on a 8230. A couple adjustments got them down to 2.5 bu/acre loss and he continued to harvest with it until dealer brought out a loaner to try. I felt sorry for the poor guy. His 8010 was doing a 50% better job than the 8230 but only about 1/2 as well as other combine in the field. The loaner worked better as far as losses but they couldn't get it started this am. Lost another day. Poor guy needs a red and white service truck to follow him around all harvest.
