This latest harvest in recent history has convinced me to look for a different combine. I have narrowed my search down to a 9570. What I have not been able to find, tho is what changes were made to this machine during its four year run. Even JD dealers I have talked to have not been much help. Does anyone on here have this information? Were there changes made that justify the difference in prices I am seeing for the different model years? Thank you in advance for your assistance!

The only things I can remember is the introduction of self leveling shoe which I would stay as far away from it as possible. Another is mounting the primary countershaft gear case on rubber mounts versus metal on metal. They changed the side feeder house shields to plastic and usually when they did that they sped the feeder house chain up with larger driv sprockets. I can’t remember if they changed the feeder hous conveyor chain slats from metal to cast or not during that time. That’s what I remember. Hope it helps.

Reduces capacity and they are prone to binding up and getting stuck. I know a bunch of ways to help with the binding but they still are flawed. They were a good idea in theory but just not worth the money. If you ever look inside one with and without you will see how much less cleaning surface there is.

Still have about a hundred acres to go, still looking for a machine. Have a few possibilities lined up. What options are most important to have? Corn/ SB only, will be using a 643 and 920 at least initially. Very interested in opinions from guys that have had one. Good machine? Would you buy it again if you had it to do over?
