I've got no experience with soybeans, but it's a good header in 50+ bu. durum wheat until the sun goes down. Then the straw wraps on the auger and it's quiting time. Meanwhile the drapers just keep on going.
We just traded for a new 9770sts, 635f, and a 8 row narrow corn head. What kind of harvest speeds will we see in 60 bu. beans, and 200 bu. corn. We just traded a 2388, so thats the reason for the questions, of what to expect. Thanks
I have set up numerous 9770's with 635's. Its a great combo, even here in the hillside wheat country. Drapers wont work well in the hills, so 35 footers are the ticket. You should see no problems with your setup. If you have any questions, let me know, i might be able to help you out.
In beans I wish we had a head bigger than the 630. We are limited to cutting speed in most crops of beans.
Wheat does not matter, it is just a matter of slowing down. We run 3-4 mph in 100+ bu wheat with the 630.
We traded our 925 in when we went with a 9770 instead of two 9560 combines a few years ago. We could get down the road in most places with the 25 foot head. Thought about going to a 30' when we got the 9770. We figured if we had to haul it everywhere on a cart, we may as well have the 35'. Does fine in beans, as said you can only cut them off so fast anyways. We've found once our neighbors and ourselves get some of the crops out, you can get from one field to another with the platform, or even the 12 row corn head on the combine.
