Anyone have first hand experience with the Precision rock beater vs. the Razor?

From a search on here and AgTalk, it seems the Razor is more popular. In a few posts there were some concerns raised about the Precision having a tendency to wrap, but I don't think this was from first hand experience, more just speculation.

The Razor is about $400 more.....wondering if it is worth it or not.

What is the price on the Razor? I never knew such a thing existed but it sounds like it might help out with green bean stems!

Heard good things about both companys, you can put serated blades on yours, Scott.

Have run the razor for about 5 years now and have been happy with it. Cut flax one year and had no problems with wrapping. Have never had a rock go through but have had a couple of fingers off the auger. So it will not stop everything.

We put a Precision rock beater in a 1460 a few years back when we started combining peas and lentils and it made a new machine out of it. With the old beater no matter what speed it ran, new blades, retracted or extended, it would wrap and plug when it got a bit tough. It made a huge difference. Would like to put after market beaters in our new machines but we don't seem to have the problems we used to have so haven't got around to it yet. I think both beaters are an improvement.
