Combining 32% Corn

We're combining 32 - 34% corn. The combine is an L2. The problem is -- It is cracking too many kernals and producing too many fines. I've been running the cylinder at 5/8 inch at the slowest speed possible. Would I have to raise or lower the cylinder to make a change in performance? It is not leaving any corn on the cob at 5/8.

Whoever thought we would see corn at these moistures this late in the fall? But, the neighbors that I am combining for are out of feed, so what can you do?

I have an M3 and am combining the same moisture corn. I have my cylinder set at 11/16" and am running about 400RPM on the cylinder. It is still grinding some corn. I don't think you will get away from that. I tried running at 3/4" and it leaves a few kernels on the cobs. I would open it up until you see kernels on the cobs and then close it down a little. A friend of mine has a 9770 Deere and he closed his clearance and slowed it down and it seemed to help a little with his. If you find the secret solution, let me know! Good luck.
