Has anyone put a John Deere 930F header on a TR 98.
What would a person have to change to make it work?

I have an old tr 95 that gets used for peas and we put a jd 222 flex that we bought already addapted. The company that did the work was called "easy harvest systems" Lloydminister Alberta They made a feeder house plate to fit the header as the Jd hole is biggger. PTO shafts on JD use a double wrap chain and master link, just have to weld a 540 female there. Hydralics should all be pioneer. New holland uses a pioneer mini that has a thread under the right side of cab for reel lift , just get the parts from your local NH dealer. We had awsome luck with this set up. Try to keep the JD release clutch for the header auger. MY fix was to use shear pins in the drive pto, but we have eaten a few rocks with this set up when shaving peas right at ground level.

May I ask why you want to use a 930 head? We ran new hollands for years and switched to green when the dealer dried up. We were running a '02 930f, biggest piece of junk. We never could get it to cut very fast compared to the new heads and we always had trouble holding the cutter bar tight. It flexes a lot less than the New Holland head.
