Looking to buy a 7820 or 7920 wanted to know what is good or bad about them? Also what type of transmission to get looking for a used one that has 3000 hours on it. Mostly the work it would be doing would be hydraulic, pto, an road travel. Currently we have a 9430, 8530, 7810.

the concept is the same. i'm sure the one in your 85 is beefed up for more horsepower. i really couldnt tell you if its the same tranny or not. i have ran them both and everything about the operation of the two is the same. i personally hate the power quad type of transmissions so that would be my only option on that series
well, if you have the 8530 you know how an ivt works. for road travel, i would think that would be the way to go.
