What type of fans? Centrifugal or axial?

 

Centrifugal fans. Did some google searches and see lots of axial fans bolted right up.
Looking at key hole style. Seeing if guys don't get to farmer and just throw some 2x6 across the braces and use blocking to get by.

 

We throw 2x6s across the arms and sit the fan there. Alternatively, several of our fans are mounted on dollies with a platform that can raise and lower, so we just wheel it up to the bin and crank it up. And finally we also have several canvas ducts that we can use to go from the fan to the bin. One of them is long enough we can put the fan on the ground and and run it up to the underside of the hopper.

If we had a fan for each bin, we'd probably just build a little platform next to the duct on each bin and bold the fan down there.

We mount the fans directly to the air duct with a round transition plate. The center has a hole for the fan to bolt to and the outside ring of holes bolt to the air tube on the bin.

 

I do the same, but I weld a brace in place, as that plate cannot support the weight of the fan.

 

The ones that I have with the rocket aeration I have mounted the fan in the transition tube and drilled a hole in the hopper and ran a chain to support the fan. Co-ops have a adjustable mount to support the fan on the braces also .
