I talked to a guy that saw it running up there around you 7750 and said it was having a heck of a time keeping up with a 7950. Crop flow did not apppear to be set or working well. Feed was spreading out of the spout pretty bad I guess. I am sure with some morew time they can get it right. It is just a prototype.

 

I just saw this one driving through downtown Phoenix on I-10 headed east. We are harvesting corn here in Arizona right now, so maybe they plan on testing it somewhere in the state. It has the cabin of the new JD Combines.

Does anyone know for sure if it's a twin engine or is that an assumption based on 2 exhaust pipes. Might be running the qsk 38 v12 - 1250 hp.... same engine family of the qsk 19 - 7950

Man I was on a family trip 2 weeks ago and saw a lowboy going that way with brand new machine going east. I thought it was a 7950 or maybe the 7980 (if that is thenumber they are using now). When I saw this post I immediately thought it was this machine. I would hve driven back the wrong way to get pictures of it even though the kids were being terrible and we had been in the car for hours already. I am so glad to see that this is not the same truck that was hauling that one!

Gee...I wonder wht it will wgt in at? Here it looks to be so heavy it'll sink our really leave compaction markes in the grass in the spring and fall. So big dimentionally it is silly looking almost.

Joblo, 2x13.5L JD engines = 1300hp in the new JD? True or False

 

Not sure as to exactly what is under the hood. I do know it is a twin and the people I talked to said likely to be around 800 hp range, getting ready for tier 4

 

800 hp seems like a lot of for twin 9.0L engines and very little for twin 13.5L engines.

 

Everybody is crazed about the possible power out puts of this new machine (which I am as Well but in southcentral Pennsylvania 600hp usually too much even though I like having it)
I am curious to see what other improvements there might be, the combine cab is going to be nice with the extra room. Deere salesman said they are going to the new equipment release event in August curious to see if the dealers will see this machine yet or if they will have to wait til 2013 to find out more. I am definitely impatient like most others, ready to see this cat come out of the bag or should I say deer. Be nice for this machine to be out for 2 or 3 years before I need to replace my jd 7550

 

My salesman said he has heard it was 1100 to 1300HP. But that's just what he has been hearing...... seems everyone (myself included) has an opinion but nobody knows for sure. I would like to see Deere improve ease of maintenance and repair. Being a big guy I have a hard time getting into all the nooks and cranies on my 7400.

 

azchopping this machine is very close to you. Seems like you should get a chance to see it running around somewhere. Remember to carry your camera for the rest of us.

 

Ive been trying to figure out where it is but have not been able to yet. I wish I had the time to cruise the back roads and look for it. Maybe tomorrow if nothing drastic comes up. If I see it I will sure let you all know!!

Anyone know how to attach pic to a post from an android phone? I have some pics of this machine in the field. It was with 2 7950's. Didn't seem to go any faster than the 79's. 10 row head in approximately 11ft corn on what looked like 38" furrows.

Heard it was powered by 6 Briggs and Stratton engines? Pulling 1000 hp? Anyone heard any different? Haha! Just throwing it out there!
