I was wondering which chaffer would be best? I am currently using the standard chaffer in corn but am having some troubles with it not having enough capacity in tough conditions and if I had to buy one which would best. Thanks for any help.

Either 1 5/8" long tooth chaffer (round tip or square tip) will outperform your standard 1 1/8" tooth chaffer in corn.....the wetter the corn, the better they work. If a rotary combine, I always use a square tip and split the first eight rows to the tailer lever and tie the tailer section to the center section. Run the first 8 rows up to 1/4" wider than the remaining rows for good capacity and good cleaning.
Thanks for the reply drallis. Sorry I forgot to mention it's for a 1997 R62. Right now I am having trouble balancing enough material in the cylinder to keep the lose down and not overloading the sieve. If I drive fast enough to keep monitor on the cylinder in the green the shoe tends to overload. Maybe there is some tweaking that could get me by? Any ideas let me know. Thanks again.
In corn, I always run the lower sieve very open...like as far as it will open. Do the cleaning with the chaffer and live with a bit of cob in the tank. If you cut loose the front 11 rows of your std chaffer and make them on a lever of their own, you could open them up a lot to add to your limited capacity of the 1 1/8" short finger chaffer.
