Looking at a used Versatile 1156 with 9400 hrs on it ......... are these big 6's similiar to the popular 855 Cummins ??? how durable are they and how expensive to rebuild compared to an 855 Cummins ??
I think the transmission is actually part of the transfer case assembly casting with an exposed driveshaft coming in from a separate clutch housing bolted to the engine with either a triple or double disc dry clutch inside it. I could be wrong.
