Have a ‘21 manufactured 7250 that makes a high pitched whining noise/ vibration when the hydraulic pump strokes up.
It’s very noticeable when the machine is cold and I turn the steering wheel. It’s like a vibration in the steel line that comes forward from the valve block to the hand metering unit under the cab. I thought it was possibly a relief valve opening and the noise travelling along the line.
Does get quieter once it’s warm but it’s still there. Makes for a long day listening to it.
Dealer has checked all the steering pressures and they were fine.

Just wondering if others have experienced the same noise?

Both our 8250s have the same sound that seems to often start right as soon as you crank the engine (before it's even running). It's a subtle sound but noticeable. I don't hear it at all while running at full throttle. Sometimes I notice it while cooling the machines off at the end of the day. Does seem to be hydraulic because as you say steering will change it.

Yes that’s the one. Starts as soon as you crank.
It’s only faint when at working speeds but it’s like a little tune playing in your head all day. . . . Or maybe it is🤪🥴!!

Good to know that that’s just how they are. Now I can just sit back, relax and . . .wait for the transmission input coupling and shaft to fail 🤦‍♂️
