Just wandering how the Rem 3700 vacs are performing, Do they really do what they say they will?? Reliability??

I've not heard much on the 3700 other than a guy that saw one at a machinery show that loaded a semi in something like 7 minutes. Being as it was at a show I'm sure it was clean, dry corn set up "perfectly" , short hose etc.

I've not got much faith in Rem's advertised capacities ability to translate into real world applications since I was assured that my 2100-D would do 5,000 easily yet the most I've been able to crank out of it is 3500 BPH.

Come time to upgrade my machine I would consider a 3700 if they come up with a self-contained version especially if it would do close to what they say.

They are quick. We don't have a rem, but our brant 5000 will run at rated capacity, 5000bph I think, out of a full bin with one length of hose. As soon as you add any hose to any vac they lose capacity.

I'm not to familiar with the Rem but our Brant has an air choke for regulating the flow. If it is open in barley it will slow the capacity immensely, you may want to check and see if there are any air leaks if you are having capacity issues

We bought a rem 3700 were not getting anywhere near adv. capacity. were pulling out of a temp. storage ring, pipe is laid over the 4 foot bin and then we have rubber hose on it, running at 850 rpm. it does about 1000 bu. in 15 to 20 minutes. corn is clean and dry. were still pretty satisfied with it we were hoping it would do half of what they said but it hasn't yet. maybe were doing something wrong, we have a conveyair 6006 it will load truck in about 30 to 45 minutes, so rem is better but a lot more cash. rem is quiet compared to 6006.

Why are you running at 850 instead of 1000? That in itself will cut your capacity way down, unless the 3700 is radically different than my 2100 it's supposed to be run flat out in corn , beans and other heavier crops and backed off a bit in lighter chaffy crop.

Is there anyway you can swap the rubber hose for a stainless flex hose? On mine the rubber ones are death to capacity. I'm asuming the 3700 needs to be stuck into the pile pretty good since it has the technology that screws with the vaccuum when it's not in the grain?

Where are you at? I'd love to see a 3700 running in a real world application because contrary to what I stated earlier, I'd consider building my own self-contained rig if the capacity is there.

we tried vac with all steel pipe about 24' without rubber hose we were loading a truck in about 12 minutes. 1000 bushels. that is nearly double without the rubber hose. we are having to move pipe around so it is hard to keep machine full all the time. we do not have a bin to attach vac to see what it would do with a consistent full flow. all our grain we are using grain vac on is flat storage or temp. rings. vac is quiet compared to our conyeyair. we are satisfied with the vac. also it really did not increase capacity when we ran it at a full 1000 rpm. we are in central texas around marlin.

We loaded a semi in 7 minutes today, 16 feet of pipe all steel, Rem is proabably right i bet it would do 10000 bu in the right condition, we are well satisfied with vac, we are having problems with suction pipes coming apart on the ends. the rivets are coming apart there cheap built. need beefing up!!!!!

I haven't had any problems with the rivets they installed but on the pipes I put together I used aluminum rivets and they last about 3 seconds. Went to round headed bolts and locktite, works well.

I have been having problems with the adjusters on the clamps breaking but when I mentioned it, my dealer sent me a kit that included a drill bit and a bolt to replace the one side that breaks, haven't had any problems since.

Glad to hear the 3700 is working for you.
