My understanding is the main wiring harness should have the capability from factory, minus maybe a few short extension cables that may need to just be plugged into the main harness. The cameras/sensors would also need to be added and the the software installed to your display.

 

Is the software in the display only or is it also needed in one of the computers under the seat?

Either way sounds doable if you have the adjustable vanes and if you can get a dealer to do this software work.

 

I’m not sure if you have mounting for the camera at the clean grain elevator.. where it can take a pic of the grain

 

The automation option is a fairly costly option on the build sheet. Can't remember what it is, but over $50k. I don't think Case is going to make it easy to add the option to an existing combine for less than that. I suspect the parts will be quite artificially expensive ($10k for the camera or something), and they might make the dealer charge a hefty fee for installing the software. I am interested to hear what it costs in the end, though.

 

Is that $50k over the base price? I know base 250 series didn’t include in cab pre sieve or rotor vane adjustment and I’m fairly certain those are both required for automation, so maybe that price includes those options from the factory. Even with those options I would still think case would want a fortune for the camera, sieve pressure sensors, and the software.

 

It already has in cab presieve adjustment and rotor vane. I'm expecting it would be quite a journey to add afterwards but was curious as anyone did it.

 

I think from memory, full automation - when it was released - was about A$25k extra. Now, there’s no option to delete it ……. & why would anyone want to do that!

IMO, look for a machine that’s already got it installed. Guaranteed Case will charge the equivalent of a small countries GDP to retrofit the whole kit.

 

Do you know when that option became standard when ordering the machines? Is it on the 60 series?
