Had a detroit deleted at Progressive diesel in Minot. Haven't had it long enough to answer your other questions. Lot better then fixing the DEF system for 13k.

 

A friend deleted a 2014 D13 a couple years ago. Under 100k on it and it was doing the derate thing and giving him an hour or two before it shut down. He would have still been in the lineup. Had it done in central AB and has been happy with it so far.

Very happy with my second deletion. Long story short get it done by the closest reputable place to you so you're not running halfway across the country every time there is a little glitch. There's my 10 grand worth of advice..

Impact diesel is probably your best bet in the city maybe not the cheapest.

Can’t say about the Detroit but the ISX is about a $700 tune from a decent tuner and a block off plate. Muffler or drill some holes through the can.

Early on guys were getting raped for 10,000 for deletes.

 

You get what you pay for. If you're paying someone to do all the tuning and perform mechanical modifications the price can climb quickly, however doing shoddy work and poor quality tunes end up costing you money in the long run, a lot more than what you'd pay for quality workmanship and software.

 

Appreciate the replies. Found a local shop to do a complete delete for us. I’ll let you know how it goes.
