I was wondering what people are using to control poplars, black poplars, etc on brushed land. We cleared a few hundred acres a couple years ago, floated it the following spring, and let the wild grass come. Its that type of land you don't wanna plow (God made the earth in 6 days then he threw rocks at this on day7). Most of the sucker trees are about 3 to 4 feet high,.

Hot Round up is what I used to clear a fence line just put one boom over it and let the little trees drink! It is on the label at a high rate. I went a little crazy put 50L in to do the mile I had to kill but there is nothing there no but a few twigs and grass is starting to come back. If I recall I said 4.5L/Ac or something like that maybe 5.5/ac But i did not want to plow it at 150/hr !

Tordon 101 is tree/brush specific. Be careful if near waterways and it will leach and for awhile as it has up to 5 year residual activity. Spruce, Pine, Evergreen trees are particularly sensitive to the chemical if it leaches or drift when spraying. Great chemical.
