The 50 series problem was the fuel tank vent, one of my dads neighbors had his fuel tank blow, replaced and two days later blew again. Hot fuel returning from the engine would cause the tank to expand and the tank vent became plugged easily and KABLUEE. Shredds the rear of the machine up.

What to do about my rotor fire problems? 06 9860
Material builds behind the rotor, rubs on the rear wall and starts fires. In dry conditions this happens everyday. I am getting no action from the dealers.
This is a known problem but I am just getting ignored. Oh they'll sell me a new rotor. Am I wrong thinking this is a design flaw that I shouldn't have to pay 100% to fix this

Hey I am curious if you ever found a solution as I am having the same issue on my 2008 JD 9870?

If it’s happening a lot you have a problem. Either the pip has never been done or you have something wrapped back there or buildup. If you haven’t, before pulling rotor ahead to inspect I would thoroughly wash it.
