You don’t think that’s high for a 40’ don? I was quoted quit a bit less, no shears on the end, but double knife, triple real, countour max, slow speed transport. Not sure what else there is ? Early pay by end of august helps also on price.
I have those exact same options. Guessing you have cross auger as well. This quote included the spare knife and extended transition seal as well which aren’t overly expensive.

Early pay will take 2% off. This price is also on a 4 unit multiple

$3500 is the number I got from the yellow/green dealer and $3000 from red dealer.

Different pumps for claas and new holland I was told.

Claas completion kit is way more expensive than case and deere.
There are two kinds of completion kits now.
You are referring to window frame and assorted paraphernalia.

There is also an electronic completion kit where the electronics are integrated for draper speed and changing between header tilt and Contour Max wheels.
No extra wiring or control in the cab.
While referred to as a kit it is included in FD2 completion pricing.

That kit only applies to Claas and Deere and only on FD2 currently.

My rep says that deere integration is still in prototype stage 🤷🏼‍♂️ Hope he is wrong, and hope my combines are compatible

Ok. Well dons dealer is still out to lunch, unless them end shears are thousands.
Vertiblades and related plumbing (sold separately) is…lots but can’t remember exactly, just settled header today but no breakdown, just totals.

Do you mean integration X9/FD2 or the kit I speak of?

Nice. Thanks for digging that up, what about tile and reel fore-aft ? Still a switch ?
You‘re welcome.

The plot thickens on that one.
On Deere I simply don’t know.
MacDon uses the Claas vario knife control and a from the cab procedure to cycle between MacDon header tilt and MacDon contour Max wheels with the same switch, you just pick the one is the most practical as you also have feeder faceplate tilt in addition so likely contour Max wheels would be my pick.
Claas fore/aft reel is always fore/aft reel.

By the way, don’t know where MacDon is getting that 4” to 10” cutting height on contour Max wheels, it is actually 0 to 18” with no header tilt change.

As Don pointed out the operators manual states cutting heights of 4"-10" and yet the advertising says 1"-18". If they can't cut under 4" from the cab, they are useless. Anyone with ones running want to confirm the actual low cut range from the cab?

Will bushy crops hang up on the reel arms of the triple span reel? Short crops the last 2 years when they were tested. Tall rank, lodged green straight cut canola is the enemy of macdon headers and that hasn't reared its head since the FD2. There was lots of hype on the FD1 series also, but less than impressive advantages once in the field.

You can go from full height to full cutting on the ground with push of button on the go. Wheels are never removed. So basically it should be 0 -18”. 1 inch would be wheels just touching ground.

I see no issues with this. The way the arms are curved they are at least a foot above top of header. Probably closer 1.5 ft. If you got crop coming up that high out of header you are obviously not running reel properly.
