This has probably been covered on here before. Which Case/IH or IH Combine is "the best one ever made", taking into consideration: Reliability, Ease of maintenence and to make adjustments and fix and repair problems, Simplicity,Performance, Quality of components and Quality of engineering and Longevity ( "Built to last" ) Lynas.

I used to get asked this at Deere. My response was always the newest one. They really do improve the combines with every model. I would guess Case is the same. The first of the models may have some bugs, but improvement and upgrades are common.

In as much as you sometimes have to live with the "4 steps ahead and 1 back" syndrome, I agree with that entire statement and with all makes.

Have owned 1420, 2144, 8010 and 7230
The 2144 was simple, comfortable and reliable liked it a lot, never had enough power to break anything.
The 8010 was a huge step-up from the 2144 but repair bills hurt it.
7230 just does everything that bit better.
So I guess my vote is for the 7230.

I agree, My uncle has a 2388 and it is one of the best machines EVER MADEsome time ago 2388 was bestseller 4000 units worldwide. Second was claas lexion 580 with 500 units per season. But at this point I would wot for AFX in advance(it will be some time later)![Image]()

Isn't that how all first time comment forum members start out on this forum in the last couple of years, go to the search bar and in this instance type in "best Case/IH combine ever built" to find that obscure thread and then give an answer. Who ever comes on here and the first thing they do is ask a question because they are in need of help or advice ? . Nice touch there with Kermit, makes it look like a legit farmer ... or is that Sesame Street watcher ?
What can I say, couldn't help myself as one wonders why all these nutters come on here, maybe just to boost traffic on the site.

So far the new forum ( I bounce over here sometimes due to others who've not found their way over to that forum yet ) has not had one person who's been a troll or at least that I've ever heard of anyway which is rather amazing given the constant flow of that type of thing on here for the last few years. I know I've done that too on here, thought the person was for real and spent time explaining something only to realize after that its been a total waste of my time and that upsets me ( why my rather impolite post above ) . I just checked and I see you have found the new forum from the looks of it, while its not as active as this one due to it being new, it doesn't have this type of thing going on in it which has been great.
What is "the new forum"?

I quite like the 7088.
If they made a class 8 or 9 in that style I reckon it would sell out

BTW...I think the 2388 was the best bang for the buck...simple, reliable and did a great job.

I would give the information on here for everyone to see but the site won't allow it and would probably kick me off of here, I know that sounds strange but for anyone that saw what went on last summer you would understand the powers that are used to block items that they don't want anyone to post.
Google combine free forum and it comes straight up, it's where most of the conspiracy crew disappeared off to. So basically same **** in a crappy format

When you put it that way, I can only imagine the rush of farmers who will google it and find the new forum ! LOL. Actually Nicko its not that bad as there haven't been any issues with trolls like this forum has unfortunately had as a constant problem with in the last few years so that has been a bonus. It is a new forum so it doesn't have as much traffic on it then this one but in saying that this forum used to have a lot more active members then it does now which is a shame. Anyone who is interested in checking it out is certainly welcome to do so as there is nothing exclusive about it and there is no paid premium membership theme at all, one person is just as good as the next person !.
